Measuring for a perfect fit on bracelets:
Using a flexible measuring tape, strip of paper, or piece of string, wrap it around your wrist where you prefer to wear your bracelets. There should not be slack- it needs to touch your skin all the way around your wrist without pulling tight.
If you used a strip of paper or string, mark it where the end meets. Then measure to that mark with a ruler. This is your actual wrist size.
Helpful Tips:
If asking me to customize an order for a bracelet, please provide me with your actual wrist size, not your bracelet size. Some people think wrist size and bracelet size are the same thing, but that is not true. If you buy a bracelet that is exactly the same length as your wrist size, it will be too small! You'll need a little extra length to account for the thickness of the beads and to fasten the clasp.
Do not add length to your accurate wrist measurement. Some people think they need to do so they have some "wiggle room". But please know that I already calculate wiggle room into bracelets by adding about 1/2" to actual wrist size. If you and I both add wiggle room, the bracelet will be too large!
If you'd like, you can request: Close fit / Average fit / Loose fit
This can help me adjust the wiggle room length according to your preference.
Measuring for a perfect fit on choker necklaces:
Using a flexible measuring tape, strip of paper, or piece of string, wrap it around your neck where you prefer to wear your choker necklaces. There should not be slack- it needs to touch your skin all the way around your wrist without pulling tight.
If you used a strip of paper or string, mark it where the end meets. Then measure to that mark with a ruler. This is your actual neck size. Please provide your actual neck measurement when choosing a size. I will add a little less than 1/2" extra length which will take into account the thickness of the beads and also give you ease in fastening the clasp.
Measuring for a perfect fit on anklets:
Wrap a piece of yarn or cord around your ankle at the position you prefer to wear your anklets. (Some women prefer to wear them above the ankle bone. Others prefer to wear them very loose and dangling below the ankle bone. When measuring, please consider how loose or snug you'd like the fit to be). Once you have determined the perfect length for you, mark the yarn/cord and then measure to that mark using a ruler. You will need to provide me with the measurement you obtained which DOES include the amount of slack you prefer.
